Chicago remains in the playoff hunt with an victory in overtime, over New Orleans.

    This Week:
    ---------------------------
The Bears now have an extra day to prepare for Green Bay at home this monday night. The NFL had good intentions but I don't think this is the game they where looking for when they made the schedule. Never the less this remains a must win for the Bears.

    Rumors:
    ---------------------------

    Injuries:
    ---------------------------

    Position Analysis:
    ---------------------------
QUARTERBACKS: Last week I said New Orleans is terrible against the pass and Orton stunk. Well, the Packers are good against the pass so now he'll probably light it up.

RUNNING BACKS: Start Forte as always.

WIDE RECEIVERS: Hester is not a good start this week. No doubt Charles Woodson will have his number come Monday.

TIGHT ENDS: Olson has been a bit shaky at times and somewhat unreliable. Recently, it seems he is good for at least 4 points evertime so take that into consideration when deciding your starters.

PLACE KICKER: Gould is a good start in my book.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: I think this is a good start. The Packers can score and really it is their defense that gets them in trouble but the Bears can force turnovers and you can almost count on Rodger's game ending INT these days.

0-14. There isn't anything else to say.

    This Week:
    ---------------------------
As I have advised every week, start any of the opposing team you have you have. Normally you could start Calvin Johnson but no on else with any consistensy.

    Rumors:
    ---------------------------

    Injuries:
    ---------------------------
Kevin Smith is not out but if you are playing today you probably don't need him really.

    Position Analysis:
    ---------------------------
QUARTERBACKS: Orlovsky is starting this week. B> still AVOID QB until further notice. That will be my advice for every game until further notice.

RUNNING BACKS: The Lions have found a nice blocking fullback in JEROME FELTON but he will do little beyond that. The RB situation is like the rest of the Lions. You can't start a Lions RB.

WIDE RECEIVERS: CALVIN JOHNSON is very good but he is reliant on the QB to get him the ball and it is questionable how that will go. C Johnson can be used but not anyone else. He might get to 1200 yards and 12 TDs which a good season for anyone and remarkable given the circumstances.

TIGHT ENDS: The Lions have never used their TEs much for receiving. They get used for a decoy. They get used for blocking. It really doesn't matter who it is. Avoid whoever the Lions TE who will will get maybe, 0-3 passes a game, between 0-40 yards game and maybe a TD every 8th game.

PLACE KICKER: Jason Hanson...again. AVOID. You have to get the offense inside the 40 for a FG to make it these days.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: No change here. The Lions D will be hoping the other team decides not to show up. It is their only chance. There is nothing here to excite the fantasy football coach on a weekly basis. AVOID

    Green Bay Packers

    Last Week:
    ---------------------------
How the mighty have fallen. Last year the NFC Championship Game was played in Green Bay this year - we are looking at a possible top ten pick. We can't even defeat the hated Chicago Bears. Don't blame it on Aaron Rodgers. He had 260 yards and 2 TD's. Ryan Grant had another under preforming game with 61 yards on 25 carries. Grant did had 1 TD catch. Donald Driver had 6 catches for 63 yards. Greg Jennigs also had 6 catches but only had 38 yards, but had 1 TD. Even Crosby had a tough game with 2 FG misses. He hits either one and the Packers win.

    This Week:
    ---------------------------
Will the Packers be the only team to loss to the Detroit Lions this year? The Lions haven't won a single game all year and this week they visit the Packers. Last week the Lions just laid down and died. Green Bay has lost five games in a row so someone will finally get a win or maybe we will get another NFL tie. When they played in September the Packers won 48-25. Expect close to the same for the Packers, but not so much for the Lions this time.

    Rumors:
    ---------------------------
Did you hear that Brett Favre is thinking about retiring? This year it will not be the Packers waiting for him to make up his mind, then change it, change it again, then finally make up his mind for good.

    Injuries:
    ---------------------------

    Position Analysis:
    ---------------------------
QUARTERBACKS: The only reason not to start Aaron Rodgers this week is if the weather turns terrible. Last time they played Rodgers had 260 yards and 2 TDs. Rodgers is on a role with multiple TD's in 5 of the last 6 games. He is good for 2-3 this week. It wouldn't surprise me if he had over 300 yards and 2-3 TD's.

RUNNING BACKS: Ryan Grant is struggling runing again, but he has been scoring. Good news is the the Lions are worst in the NFL at stopping the run. Grant has to be happy. He can finish the year on a high note with over 100 yards and a TD.

WIDE RECEIVERS: In the first game against the Lions Greg jennings had 6 catches for 167 yards. I think close to the same this week. You have to start Jennings! Donald Driver had 7 for 52 and 1 TD against the Lions in week two matchup. That is close to his average. Expect 50-60 yards and 1 TD this week.

PLACE KICKER: Mason Crosby has been struggling lately. He just isn't getting the chance to score with a struggly offense. When he got a chance last week he missed on 2 of three FG's.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: The Lions are terrible and currently on their third QB of the year. Don't expect much from them. The Packers defense is getting a lot of turnovers, but so far not doing well at stopping teams from scoring lots of points. Last time they played Calvin Johnson killed the Packers with 129 yards and 2 TD's. I would start the Packers in a Super Bowl Game.

Big win. Huge win. Enourmous win over a sluggish Arizona Cardinals team. Arizona has a playoff spot locked up but I still think they are wondering what happened.

    This Week:
    ---------------------------
If you thought last week was a true test of this team, now they face Atlanta's boy wonders Matt Ryan, Michael Turner and Roddy White sans Pat Williams. This is a huge game.

    Rumors:
    ---------------------------

    Injuries:
    ---------------------------
Again, Jackson will start in place of Frerotte.

    Position Analysis:
    ---------------------------
QUARTERBACKS: Travarius Jackson rewarded all of us who decided to play it safe with 4 touchdowns. Now I feel obligated to scream, "Hey man, jump on the T-Jack train!!! Whooooo Whoooo!" But if you find yourself in the championship game of your league, now is not the time to gamble with anyone so stick with who got you there and leave Jackson on the waiver wire.

RUNNING BACKS: Start Peterson as always.

WIDE RECEIVERS: Berrian again is a nice start and has developed into a dependable #2 guy or a #1 guy in deeper leagues. That punt return was a nice early Christmas present.

TIGHT ENDS Shiancoe proved why TE's are so frustrating recording one catch for 8 yards while the rest of the Vikings offense lit up the scoreboard. I can't recommend him as a good play.

PLACE KICKER: You can start Longwell if you want.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: With all the injuries I would normally be worried about starting the Vikings defense but they handled the Cardinals really well even with all thier Pro-Bowl starters. So....since its a home game I say start them with confidence.
