Last Week: --------------------------- Falcons-24 Vikings- 17
Playoff bound! After a 4-12 season with a joke of a coach in Bobby Petrino, the Falcons beat a tough potential playoff team in the Vikings to clinch a spot in the postseason. QB Matt Ryan played mistake-free football and managed the game like a pro. RB Michael Turner scored his 16 touchdown and the Falcons defense shut down the run game of the Vikings. Overall, a dominating performance for the momentous Falcons from start to finish.
This Week: --------------------------- The Falcons are 10-5 and playoff-bound as they host the hapless St. Louis Rams in an easy contest. This should be an easy win and a good game to keep up the momentum heading into the playoffs for the Falcons dream season. Play makers on the Rams squad, RB Steven Jackson and WR Tory Holt remain the only threats on this talent-less squad. With the QB split of Trent Green and Marc Bulger in St. Louis, the game planning should be based on stopping the run and that should be the expected result. Look for a blow out with plenty of clock control on the Falcons.
Rumors: --------------------------- Good job for those who won .jpeg trophies this week and sorry for those who lost. For those leagues that employ a week 17 championship, this report is mainly for you. Also, look into changing that setting. Week 17 is a joke.
Look for updates if there are any
Injuries: ---------------------------
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
Matt Ryan is going to put up stats for the first 3 quarters until the game becomes out of hand IF he is even going to play. Look for more updates here if the Falcons use Ryan. I fully expect a productive day from Ryan if he does play, but not enough to warrant him over more pass-heavy QBs in the league. This should be a clock control game.
Projection: 200 yards, 1 TD
RUNNING BACKS: Michael Turner should add to his touchdown total against the soft St. Louis Rams' defense. However, he is the biggest question mark because Turner may be rested for the playoffs. If he does play, this will be a blow out and there should an abundance of carries for all Falcon RBs Jerious Norwood has been reduced to a passing back and special teams guru but with clock control being the plan of attack for the Falcons, Norwood should see at least 10 carries. What he does with that is up to any owners looking for a little risk in the final week. Norwood is also an intriguing play because if Turner is benched, Jerious is upgraded to getting 20 carries as well as check-down passes.
Projection: Turner- (if he plays) 80 yards, 2 TDs ; Norwood- (if he starts) 120 all-purpose yards, 1 TD
WIDE RECEIVERS: Roddy White should have a productive first half but do not be surprised if White sits in the fourth. Roddy should get a score but yards are going to be hard to come by if the Falcons blow out the Rams. Michael Jenkins is a yards WR and nothing more. Douglas is a no-show in the past few weeks. Do not trust.
Projection: White- 75 yards, 1 TD; Jenkins- 60 yards; Douglas- 20 all-purpose yards
TIGHT ENDS:
PLACE KICKER:
Jason Elam should have a productive day with all the running the Falcons are projected to do. I expect a nice day in the air for Ryan for the first few quarters, but the rest should be running and FGs.
Projection: 3 FGs, 3 PATs
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: If the Falcons can shut down a powerful run team against the Vikings, the defensive unit should have no problem shutting down the anemic rushing of the Rams. Steven Jackson or no Jackson, this should be ugly. Look for a big game for the Falcons defense. Cheap scores in garbage time should be the only time the Rams do any damage.

Last Week: --------------------------- a family vacation and I was just nowe able to get to a computer. This will be very brief
This Week: --------------------------- Home against Saints
BR>
Panthers 31 Saints 24
Both D-tackles expected to miss so the mixed with the fact that Brees needs just over 400 yards to break marino's yardage record means a shoot out in the Dome.
Rumors: ---------------------------
Injuries: --------------------------- Name/Pos/nature of Injury/participation level in practice
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
Jake Delhomme: 225 1 TD 1ints. Only in deep two QB leagues.
RUNNING BACKS:
Player Projection:
Jonathon Stewart: 85 Yards 1 TD. More than enough to go around against Denver.
DeAngelo Williams:140 Total yards 3td. You can't sit him. A shoe in for the Fantasy hall of Fame this year.
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Steve Smith 120 yards 1 TD. Must start.
Muhammad: 50 Yards. Might be a sneaky play in deep leagues.
Jarret/Hackett: These two will combine for around 40 yards. Stay away.
TIGHT ENDS:
Jeff King-15 yards. Only for the desperate.
PLACE KICKER:
Jeff Kasey: 1 fg and 4xp. Lots of extra points..
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: 380 yards 24 Points. Not this week.

Last Week: --------------------------- Saints put a beating on the Lions though they are OUT of the playoff hunt. Similar to last season, this year was great at times but ultimately not a playoff year.
This Week: --------------------------- Division pride to try to take a bit out of the Panthers. Expect a high scoring game with both very good offenses putting up points.
Rumors: ---------------------------
Injuries: --------------------------- Bush is OUT for the season. Deuce is out for the week. Thomas is your man.
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
Brees should have a good game this week going over the top - look for Colston to catch some balls and help out the cause. Moore is the new outlet and the 1-2 punch is working wonders for Brees's numbers.
300 yds / 3 TDs /
RUNNING BACKS:
Bush and Deuce are OUT this week. Start Thomas for a nice start (no guarantees for stats like last week but should be good)
Pierre Thomas 120 yds (overall) / 1 TD
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Marques Colston is catching fire though though the season is over for his team - start him if you have a playoff game to win. Moore has earned his place as the 'other guy' in the mix who is actually more reliable than Colston for yards week to week.
Colston: 80 yds / 1 TD
Moore: 110 yds / 0 TD
TIGHT ENDS:
JEREMY SHOCKEY is back and a decent start. Billy Miller is also in the mix. You can start either one but its not tier 1 by any means.
PLACE KICKER:
Automaticca is on IR - rookie Mehlhaff is taking kicks now - you should have a better option if you are in your playoffs but against Lions I guess might still be a good option.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:
Panthers are a good O so don't start Saints defense since I am sure the rushing game and Steve Smith will put up multiple (3-5) TD's on the the flaccid Saints D.

Last Week: --------------------------- It is the same old song and dance, my friend. The Bucs defense, upon which they hang their proverbial hats, has gone in the proverbial tank. As soon as the speculation began about Monte leaving to go to Rocky Top, the defense has rested. Carolina, then Atlanta, and last week at home, San Diego. Pass rush, NO, tackling NO, Effort NO. Wrap it all up and its 41-24 Chargers.
This Week: --------------------------- The Raiders come to town, Bucs are 13.5 point favorites. Are you kidding. The way this defense is playing the offense would have to score 100 points to cover a 13.5 spread. Bucs need this game to have a chance to get into the playoffs. So they should win the game, but who knows.
Rumors: --------------------------- Bucs promote Raheem Morris to defensive coordinator. Monte will still run the show this Sunday, Morris will be in charge in 2009.
Morris is a high energy guy, young (only 32) and will probably employ the same system as Monte.
Injuries: --------------------------- Earnest Graham----OUT FOR SEASON. injured ankle and knee.
Lots of defensive players are banged up. Derrick Brooks, Gaines Adams, Jermain Phillips (out for season) etc.
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
Well the Bucs need to win, the Raiders need a vacation. Garcia will do whatever it takes. The raider have that CB who name I can't say, but he shuts down everyone he goes against. So say goodbye to Antonio Bryant this week, and since that is the only WR the Bucs have, Garcia will have hard time completing passes.
Garcia--15/29 for 200 and a 2 TD.
RUNNING BACKS:
The Bucs will have to run the ball to get the win. I see Caddy getting a lot of carries, find out what he can do.
Caddy--20 carries, 80 yards 1 TD
Dunn--12 carries 40 yards
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Antonio Bryant, for those of you still playing for Fantasy titles, will not have a big week this week. Nmandi Ashomongo (not spelled correctly, but you know who I am talking about) has basically rendered every teams number 1 WR ineffective this season. Michael Clayton and Joey Galloway will have to step up and provide some relief.
Bryant--3 for 30
Clayton--5 for 50 TD
TIGHT ENDS:
This may be a week to play Jerramy Stevens. Bryant will be in lockdown and Garcia has to throw to someone.
Stevens--4 for 50 and a TD
PLACE KICKER:
Bryant is quietly the most consistent Bucs fantasy option. Continues to kick 3-4 FG's each week. This week should be more of the same.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:
The only factor involved in playing the Bucs Defense this week is the "goodbye Monte" factor. You know the want to send him off with a bang. Shutout?? Return TD's??? Sacks?? All of these are possible. I would definately include the Bucs defense in your lineup this week.
